Episode #14: We're not worthy - Part 2 (Show Notes)

Ms. B
could finally pry herself away from her new addiction that is called "Spinning". Yeah, blame me and the Wollmeise who got her into it. :-p

We're carrying on with our conversation with the Wollmeise. It's Wollmeise Striptease Time!!! LOL

Wollmeise tells us about herself. We started off by talking about The Loopy Ewe Spring Fling, which she has attended. She doesn't like her photos taken, so we ask everybody to not take photos of her. In fact, she's just afraid that her third-eye will show in the photo. :-p Naaaaaaahhhh..it's the fact that she reckons that photos steal parts of your soul. Her mum doesn't like photos taken either.

The only way out? Take "backside" photos of the Wollmeise! And we promptly veered off to talk about the Rubber Ducky Crafters Group on Ravelry. Wollmeise is very against this.

Cashyie presented the Wollmeise with some "Red Hot" Lollies. She also asked Wollmeise, which lolly would she be if she were one? The answer: The old version of the green Gummibärchen, which is Waldmeister or Woodruff in English (you can also check out the Wollmeise's Woodruff Sorbet Recipe!).

  • We found out who taught the Wollmeise to knit. How her mum sewed her clothes for her....which she of course didn't appreciate. Her mum even put creases on her jeans! Wollmeise used to wear wooden clogs...and no-one wanted to dance with her, so she had to take the "left-over".
  • We also found out about Wollmeise's Husband, Rohrspatz! They met in a public swimming pool...well, Rohrspatz stole her sandwiches! I'm not going to tell you the whole story here...so you need to listen to the podcast! ;-)
  • Find out how the Wollmeise came about dyeing yarns!
  • Wollmeise used to spin. She crocheted some window blinds. She also reveals the fact that she's a learnt dressmaker!
  • We then talked about Dirndl, Landhausmode and Trachten....and do you know what "Balcony" is? :-p
  • Find out how Wollmeise feels about her popularity.
  • Wollmeise also knits stuff out of other yarns. She tries out stuff from other dyers. And Cashyie promptly promotes Hobbledehoy yarn.
  • Differences between German knitters and knitters of other countries.
  • We also find out about some of the Wollmeise colourway names! E.g. Poison No. 5 was inspired by the movie Love Potion No. 9.
  • Secrets of the Wollmeise smell: Perwoll!
  • Blue Suzanne, how it was "discovered"! And how she comes up with new colourways.
  • We tried to get the Wollmeise to start dyeing up rovings.
  • She explains what a Schultüte is.
  • Future plans for Wollmeise: An expansion?
  • Who would play the Wollmeise in a movie?
  • Wollmeise not dyeing yarns?
  • Why are a lot of Indie Dyers in Germany named Claudia?
  • Wollmeise smokes!
  • Wollmeise's favourite food!
  • She's also planning to do a SOCK CLUB!!!!!
  • The Wollmeise hymn: "You can't get what you want (till you know what you want):

Announcement: The Ram Club - a sock club for men! Collaboration between Stitch Stud and the Unique Sheep.

Contest winner: We decided to ask the Wollmeise the questions and see what she thinks. Anyhow, congratulations to Phoebe from Knit Happened! Please email us your snail mail address, so that we can send you your prize.

Last question to the Wollmeise: Which podcasts she listens to?

Episode #14: We're not Worthy! (part 2 of 2)

This is the second part of the episode. Sorry it took me so long to get this out, spinning has taken over my life. We are with the Wollmeise again and she reveals some interesting details about her life. Don't want to give anything away, you just gotta listen. Ok, one teaser - did she say something about a sock club???

Also, we reveal the contest answers and who the winner is!

Episode #14: We're not Worthy! (part 1 of 2)

This session was soooooo long that I had to break it up into two parts. We have a special guest today - the Wollmeise! She was kind enough to take a break from her busy schedule to sit with us and chat. We also have a short interview with Miriam Tegels - the world record holder for fastest knitter! wowowowowow!

Extra note on Episode 11's discussion

Hey there Uncensored Knitters,

It seems that you guys are shooting right over the real point in the discussion here....and I'm feeling that I am being misunderstood and I would like to do a damage control before people really get the wrong idea about me (yes, I do care what other people think of me....in some regards).

From what I've read on the comments, it seems that people are thinking as though I were against getting tested, which isn't the case at all. If you've read the show notes, you will see that I've already got tested and that it was Dr. D himself who asked the question first before I got to it.

What I was so adamant about in the discussion was the fact that I feel that Cashyie was giving me the idea that you were supposed to be asking right on your first date. Which isn't what I would do. I would of course ask, as I had stated in the podcast, but only when the relationship starts to get serious, i.e. that the relationship is official. When we were recording the podcast, it wasn't official yet, but it is now and like I said, both I and Dr. D got tested.

Now, to re-state and re-phrase the question that I/we want to know again: WHEN is the right time to ask your (potential) partner about their health status? Surely, you wouldn't be sitting down to the first dinner on the first date and suddenly blurt out about HIV-test, would you?

Cheers,
Elemm (who already got tested)

Episode #09: Someone Kissed a Girl (Show notes)

Download episode #09: Someone Kissed a Girl

Lawdy, sorry that we're so late putting up this episode. You know, life gets in the way some time. ;-) But we're here now, let the digression show begin!

Katia & KylieMac
, when are you guys coming to Munich?! And no, I don't ever think I'd finish my Clapotis, this led us to digress on the merit of having LOTS of WIPs and UFOs on the needles. I started scheming on getting the KnitPicks Harmony Options Needle Set.

Anyway, who do you think has kissed a girl? Yeah, it was me, Elemm, but we'll get to that. And no, I didn't kiss Cashyie or Ms. B! :-p

We also went into discussion about the Long Night of the Munich Museums, which entails a whole load of other Long-Night-Actions here in Munich...

...and promptly we digress again into talking about herpes cold sore. And yes, a Mankitten with cold sore was sticking his tongue down the throats (yes, plural) of other girls at Oktoberfest.

Thank you so much to AuntlyH for the wonderful Yarn Cocktail book she sent us! Then we suddenly digressed into talking about rock climbing and the Flachmann (pocket flask). Also, Ms. B forbade me to knit or spin during recording.

We also got the magazine that did the interview and photo with us......and well, I like the photos, but Ms. B will only allow publication if the photo's cropped and if she's blackened out....soooooo:

KU Blueline Knitting, with Ms. B blackened out
The KU-Gang
All Rights Reserved!
Photo by and on courtesy of Sabine Höroldt for HP's Blue Line Magazine.

So, what's on/off our needles?
So, what's the big deal that I got totally drunk and ended up snogging with a girl? I'm just one more experience richer now. And now I also know what a hangover feels like. ;-) And just for the record: I'm not going to make this a habit (both the drinking too much and snogging a girl).

Life in Germany with Ms. B or actually with all of us. What do we miss most about "home"? I was totally at a loss for the answer, but perhaps food. Cashyie misses the Canadian boys. Ms. B misses food, shopping and later opening hours, TV.

German terms with Elemm, more Wollmeise colourway names:
  • Iris Sibirica = Siberian Iris
  • Farn = Fern
  • Wellensittichvogelfeder = Budgie's feather
  • Rhabarber = Rhubarb
  • Kräuterbeet = A bed of herbs
And don't forget to go sign up for the shop update over at Wollmeise Online Shop!

Cashyie reads her Oktoberfest Report.

Elemm went to the Vaterstetten Wool Market. I was kinda disappointed because I actually wanted to get new spindles, but there weren't any, even though on the brochure they were saying that there will be a focus on hand-spinning. I was also playing Wollmeise Groupie and I was also recognised by one listener: Hi Nicole!! The only thing that made up for the missing spindles were the rovings. :-p

Ms. B went to the Knitting & Stitching Show in London. And yes, London is expensive...not just for yarn, but for EVERYTHING! Cashyie didn't seem daunted by it at all. Ms. B also went to Stash and GetKnitted. The tube stations are also hot...and kinda nasty. She also went to the cinema.

Episode #07 delayed

Spinning

Sorry, but episode #07 hasn't been recorded yet. I think that we'll be doing that this coming Saturday....

NB: Also, some of you might notice that iTunes has stopped downloading since episode #04. So, I'm hoping that you're reading this here. Mea culpa, when I was updating the blog back in episode #04, I mucked up the dates and so it was set to September. So, iTunes won't be picking anything up until September.

To fix this, you have to unsubscribe from the feed and re-subscribe to it again . That would put the dates right again.

As for Benediktbeuern trip in September, I will figure out the travelling time for all of us who are travelling from Munich, so that we can go together on the train. I think that at the moment, all of those from Germany are going to gather in Munich and then we'll go together. But I'll send out an email concerning that again soon.

Lastly, you see the picture above...yeah, that's my hand-spun! I and Ms. B started spinning. I like it...Ms. B declared herself a non-spinner. ;-p

But we'll talk about that in the next episode. ;-)

Catch y'all later!

Episode #06: Jaeger...Spun Out of Control (Show Notes)

We're getting better at putting out loooooooooooooooonng episodes. :-p

I was caught off-guard introducing myself. Anyway, I missed out on CSD, i.e. the Gay Pride, just to record for you guys! Cashyie wants me to do a wet T-Shirt contest, just because it was raining...but I've got a cold. Then I started talking about this edible knit-underwear, but opted for Jaegermeister instead, a "H"erbal liqueur.

Thank you to ScoutJ for dyeing up a special colourway for the Knitters Uncensored: "South Tyrolean Mankitten in Lederhosen"! And Ms. B talks about cost limit at custom and the strategy to get off it....we digressed and started talking about the Euro Blazer, BH ("Büstenhalter" = bra) and "Becher"= beaker. Don't get them mixed up!

What's on/off the needles?
  • Ms. B:
    • Montego Bay Scarf (FO)
    • Started another Montego Bay Scarf
    • Vista Mare aka Billy Reid Socks (she's going to submit the pattern to Knitty!)
    • Secret Project (technically FO)
(We started digressing again and talked about the merits of knitting Montego Bay Scarf with MariSilk, e.g. from Sheepaints or Das Schneeschaf...and Ms. B is still dealing yarns to Cashyie and to me.)
  • Cashyie:
    • Montego Bay Scarf using "South Tyrolean Mankitten in Lederhosen", see picture above (FO)
    • Started another Montego Bay Scarf (Seriously! We're Montego Bay Scarf mad!)
    • Frogged some of the Periodic Table swatches
(Another digression: Taking your shoes off to show off your hand-knit socks in bars)

We then discuss about needle sizes in Germany...they don't do half-sizes after 6 mm....We keep going back to the our craze about Montego Bay Scarf...so I decided to cast on for mine! (It's been cast on and I've knit quite a bit already. I decided to call it the "Monte Carlo Scarf").

German Terms with Elemm (don't get these two terms mixed up!):
  • Schwul = gay, homosexual
  • Schwül = muggy, sticky weather
Ms. B got me around to talk a bit of Thai on the Podcast...so now you should be able to say: "New wood doesn't burn", and "Who sells the chicken egg?" *LOL* We also get around to talking Italian, courtesy of Cashyie...and you should be able to say:
  • Ciao
  • Buon Giorno
  • Ho bisogno di molti soldi
Life in Germany with Ms. B, who finds out that she can exercise while knitting! But that's not what she wants to talk about this time. Bills here are done directly with the bank. Payments are done either with cash or through Überweisung, a bank transfer. And watch out how you sign up for those credit cards! The process of going through those German bureaucracies.

Cashyie watched German TV....and I revealed to her and Ms. B that some talk shows and courtroom shows don't use the real people, but they hire actors, especially the courtroom shows due to the privacy protection. I don't know what happens then, but Cashyie starts talking about going to Speed Dating and I'll probably be going with her.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show in Munich is supposed to be the longest running one...and apparently, they also sell packaged props to throw and the show is supposedly "tame". *LOL* Or we can go see the show in Paris and join up with Katia & Kylie Mac.

Getting back to Life in Germany, Ms. B talks about the fact that the utility costs here are included in the rent (warm or cold rent. Warm is included, cold is excluded). But some places do it differently. And you'll have to pay surplus at the end of the year if you used too much, or you get money back if you use less than you've paid. Of course, Ms. B ends up having to pay more since her place is kept at tropical temperature during the winter.

You swipe your card and your fingerprints get scanned to go and rent out a DVD at the machine. They also charge by the hour you rent the DVD for.

And then we talk about Pfand, or the deposit on cans and bottles. Turned out that our first show guest from last episode, Christine, carried that empty can of Coke from Ms. B around with her through Germany, because Ms. B told her not to throw it away, since it costs EUR 0.25! There aren't many canned beers around anymore...if any at all.

We also have a new segment, where we pick on the Non-Knitters. Our new show guest, Ms. B's Rock Star Husband!!! We will be looking for new participants to pick on in the future....so watch out, all ye non-knitters out there!

At some point during the quiz, we got around to brainstorming about writing a Whodunnit about Ravelry....we also reached the consent that the Wollmeise is THE German Indie-Dyer. And Lily Chin has the same birthday as me!!!!

How much should you ask for a hand-knit item? Since I've been commissioned with two pairs of socks, I'm at a lost about what price I should ask for. I need to earn some money, but I don't want to sound too steep by asking for too much. How much do you think a hand-knit item should cost? Leave a comment or write us an email at:

KnittersUncensored (at) gmail (dot) com

or discuss about it on our Uncensored Knitters Ravelry Group! (In some broken weak moment, Cashyie and Ms. B thought they could take advantage over my stash and buy off my beloved yarns....no way! I'm a yarn hoarder.)

Announcements:
  • Benediktbeuern Textile Market (22nd-23rd September 2007): Biggest textile market in Germany. Meet the Wollmeise in person! Fondle her gorgeous yarns before making the purchase. There will be a sock-workshop with Yarnissima, the designer of Digitessa! The Knitters Uncensored Team will be there and we all will be having a PJ-Knit-Party! All places are filled already and we will start organising the details soon. So, watch out for an email in the coming week! The list of participants are:
  • Secrets of Chrysopolis, another mystery KAL (in German)!
  • Ms. B's Taste of Germany: The first round will be "Blue". There will be 10 places to grab (okay, 9, since Cashyie is ready to pounce on one set). This will be on the first-come-first-serve basis, so keep a look out on Ms. B's Blog for announcement...and I guess it's also going to be announced here, too. Here's the rough content of the package:
    • Fingering-weight yarn (100% superwash merino) from Wollmeise
    • MariSilk (light fingering) or fingering-weight yarn by Sheepaints (MariSilk or fingering-weight depending on the series)
    • MariSilk (light fingering) or fingering-weight yarn by Das Schneeschaf (MariSilk or fingering-weight depending on the series)
    • Merino-Silk-Ramie mix fingering-weight yarn by Drachenwolle
    • Fingering-weight yarn (100% superwash merino) by Handgefaerbt.com

Episode #05: To Dye For, Dahling (Show Notes)

I'm sorry that this episode came out late. That's why it's extra long...and we have our first show guest!! Due to the release of a certain book, I had to cancel the recording that was scheduled for last week to this week. We then digressed about talk shows and reined back to talking about the book...including the competition on Adam Knits! (already over) So, you know what book we are talking about, right? ;-) (And on my own personal side note: I so want to have THIS!) I ranted on about spoilers on the internet...and Ms. B ranted about people sneezing on her in the cinema.

Talking about cinema...we might go see The Rocky Horror Picture Show here in Munich....at least we talked about it. And I plugged the Katia & KylieMac Podcast yet again.

I also started to talk about Damknit Podcast. She's doing this survey and so you should go and DO IT! And then I did some shameless self-advertising about the interview in gave (in German) to Brigitte.de and Sueddeutsche Zeitung Jetzt...and we discussed whether knitting is only for grandmas?

Germans have to learn to knit/crochet in school (don't know whether they're still doing it now) and Ms. B got really excited because this means her boys will have to learn to knit. It's important, isn't it?! Cashyie talked about ballroom dancing at her work place and I want to learn!!!!

We digressed a bit into talking about Brooklyn Tweed's Noro Scarf.

What's on or off the needles?
  • Ms. B still pretty much has the same stuff on the needles:
  • I, Elemm also still has pretty much the same projects:
  • Cashyie:
    • Cast on for a new scarf
    • Periodic Table Knit (too good for Mankittens)
Life in Germany with Ms. B is going great. This time she talks about "living" in Germany....about how I went to the Kocherlball, whilst Cashyie didn't make it because she was under the influence....she made up for it though with chocolate. We talk about the living situation in Germany, owning vs. renting a place and the price of it all; how all rooms are separated and have doors on them. Finding a place to live in Munich and paying a fee for finding agency. (Cashyie chimes in with the description of her dodgey apartment.) Having your name on the doorbell; laundry in Germany....and "platform toilets"! (You know us, we can't steer away from toilets!)

German terms with Elemm:
  • Zephyr Jaegerspun
  • der Pullover / der Pulli = Sweater, Pullover
  • die Veste = vest
  • die Strickjacke = cardigan
  • die Jacke = jacket
  • der Pullunder = slipover
  • die Socke(n) = sock(s)
  • Highlight -->*Scheiße = shit*
  • Highlight -->*Arschloch = asshole*
Cashyie got a marriage proposal from a listener! Now she's going to do a yarn swap with him!

Ms. B and Elemm had their first dyeing experiences!! Ms. B tried it before I did. Cashyie recognises the competitive streak between me and Ms. B. And for your information, I used more or less this Kettle Dye Tutorial, you can read about it HERE.

Ms. B starts dealing yarns and other goodies. She also received this HUMONGOUS package from Cauchy09. Apart from that, Ms. B also re-started sewing again. She made these extremely cute project bags!

Announcements:

She's trying to start a sock for her trip (which she actually started later after the recording - and she's knitting with Opal).

Music for this week:

"Places People Hide Their Money" by Ridel High (lead singer is Kevin Ridel, who was in a band with Rivers Cuomo of Weezer and Ms. B's Rock Star Husband back in their hey-days, and is now in the band AMRadio)...and remember to substitute the word "money" with "yarn" ;-)

Hope you enjoyed this extra long episode! Until the next episode....Keep knitting!

Episode #04: The Troubles with Treber (Show notes)

After the delay, we're back with the fourth episode! Contrasting to the last episode, this time we have some knitting contents...but we digress, since that is our specialty. ;-)

We had some technical difficulties during the recording...and this time, it's not to blamed on Elemm's drunkenness (which didn't happen), but only on Ms. B! *LOL*

Let's get on with the show!

Thank you!
Elemm had Stash Enhancing eXperience! And Cashyie was also presented with her pair of hand-knit socks! Hear her delightful squeals on the show! (We actually have pictures as evidence to this, but they all don't do Cashyie's cleavages justice. So, we decided not to include them)

As a thank you to Andy in Amsterdam, we tell you how we ended up being in Germany!

What's on (or off) our needles?
  • Cashyie
    • Noro Kureyon Basket-Weave (she's progressing!)
    • Bottle Garter Stitch Scarves (like the one on Treber in the picture above)
  • Ms. B:
    • Chevron Scarf (going in hibernation and will take a trip to the frog pond)
    • Spring Grass socks (The Little Bunny Foo Foo had been caught)
    • Zokni Socks (FO)
    • Tabi Socks (FO)
    • Vista Mare (aka Billy Reid Socks)
  • Elemm
Life in Germany with Ms. B: This kind of turned into a bit of a rant, but interesting to know anyway. ;-) Did you know that most, if not all Germans just don't know "The Sound of Music"?! Transportations in Germany - tram, trains, bus and cars. Being on the correct side when driving....or on the escalator. Tourists on bikse....*grrrrr* Speed limit on the Autobahn? Who are you kidding?

Does the term "L-cut" means anything to you? Well, now it will! Elemm shares his dating experiences and rants on about one particularly catastrophic one. We digressed again totally to toilet manners. :-p

Watch out for Ms. B's Taste of Germany! Package of yummy German Indie Dyers' yarns! It's a great deal! Keep an eye out for her updates on this!

Cashyie philosophises about the appropriate length of scarves. They should be long enough to give you a warm hug!

Elemm finally got around to talking about his photography tips (NO flash!). Here are the links to the light box construction:
And also watch out for these things:
  • Object to be photographed
  • Composition (rule of three)
  • Lighting source (filling) and the direction (no direct light on the object, be it natural or artificial)
  • Camera settings (white balance, exposure, ISO)
  • Touch-ups with an editing programme (exposure, highlight/brighten the dark areas, colours/RGB)
Two places left: Please, confirm or cancel at the latest by 20th July 2007! (latest detail)
  • Elemm and Cashyie are going to the Kocherlball on 15th July 2007, want to join us? If you're around and want to get up at the crack of dawn to go see people dance in traditional costumes, well, then give us a yell!
  • Email us if you want to knit Billy Reid a pair of socks! It'll be fun and if there are enough people, we'll do a proper KAL!
  • Hank Wankers, now with a step-by-step tutorial! (Please, don't laugh at Elemm's crazy facial expressions on the photo tutorial)
  • Support Annie Modesitt and her family. Make sure you go visit the We Love Annie site!
  • CONTEST!!!! Tell us your best toilet stories or why you deserve to win a bottle of toilet drops and some stitch markers!

Okay, basically Tracht means 'traditional German costume', thus it applies to both Dirndl and Lederhosen.

And now I shall present the Knitters Uncensored in their own Tracht!

Elemm in Lederhosen (at the Kocherlball in 2006):

And Cashyie's Dirndl:

EDIT: After many requests, here's another photo of Cashyie in her Dirndl:

and Ms. B with her whole family:

Tell us what you think! (I'll be going to the Kocherlball this year with Cashyie! Anybody else wanna join? 6 a.m. on Sunday 15th July 2007 at the Chinese Tower in the Munich English Garden!)

Yours,
Elemm

Episode #03: The One Which Must Not Be Named (Show Notes)

We're back with the third episode! I need to warn you though, there's hardly any knitting-related content in this episode at all. But we had fun nevertheless! (What's with me getting progressively drunk while recording...plus, I pushed the wrong button once and deleted a whole section! *oops*)

We had loads of great fun. I just can't believe some of the things I said on and off mic...I ended up physically rolling off the floor laughing!

So, let's get on with the show!

Thank you for mentioning us!
We digressed immensely here and started talking about toilet drops *LOL*

We also would like to thank you for all the comments, emails and iTunes reviews!!!

....and don't forget to answer my Quiz! ;-)

One weird fact:
  • Cashyie went on a date...to a Strip-Club! (And ran in to a *famous* scientist)
  • Ms. B has uneven legs!
  • Elemm's hooked on re-hanking yarns and taking photos of them
What's on our needles?
Life in Germany with Ms. B: Television in Germany....mostly in German. So she escapes with Internet Television. Shady programmes after midnight, paid by your Television Fees! Going to the movies thinking it was in English....*wrong* (they wouldn't let me join in the discussion about popcorns!). Tobacco commercials in the movies.
  • OV: Originalversion = Originial Version
  • OoU: Original ohne Untertitel = Original without subtitle
  • OmU: Original mit Untertitel = Original with subtitle
Cashyie goes shopping! This time, she went and got herself a Dirndl, so she can get South Tyrolians! :-p If you have South Tyrolians to spare, please write to

KnittersUncensored (AT) gmail (DOT) com

I (Elemm) was going to talk about photography tips this time but we talked so much already that it would've been too much (plus, I was too drunk to string together something comprehensible....so, no chance of doing a segment without slurring badly *LOL*)

This is an open invitation to all the listeners, as well as to all podcasters out there! It's on during Oktoberfest, what better excuse to combine yarn with beer?!
  • Join our Hank Wankers Group! Wind all your yarns into beautiful hanks!!!! Just 'wank your hanks!' *LOL*
Music:
  • Knitters Uncensored Theme Song by Ms. B and her DH!
  • Closing Song: "One more year at Hogwarts" by Billy Reid (I and Ms. B will be knitting him each a pair of socks! If you feel like joining us in this then send us an email!)

or just leave us a comment here!

Hope that we didn't bore you to death with our non-knitting-related banters this time! Until the next episode! Knit on!!!

Yours (totally sobered and without a hangover),
Elemm

Ps. We talked a bit about Ravelry, if you're not a beta tester yet then go and put your name down. If you've put your name down but haven't received an invitation yet, then go check your junkmail....if it's not there, then just be patient! You will get in soon!! In the mean time, just go take pretty photos of your stash and your projects! ;-)

Episode #03: The One Which Must Not Be Named

Episode #03: The One Which Must Not Be Named

It's time for Episode #03!!! Welcome to our (drunken) banters! :-p

Elemm got progressively drunk during the show, but we had great fun recording (and re-recording *Elemm's fault*)

Thank you: David Reidy, Brenda Dayne, Jenny & Nicole, Dharmafey

We digress and talk about toilets and toilet-drops *LOL*

One more weird fact from each of us

What's on our needles?

Next Episode is in editing!

Yes, episode #03 is now being edited by Ms. B. It should be up online in the next couple of days!

Loads and loads of fun recording this episode....especially with my getting progressively extremely drunk during recording while physically rolling off the floor laughing at things we were talking about. I can't believe some of the stuff I said on and off the microphone. :-p

So, watch for my slurring when the episode's up! *LOL*

Yours (now sobered),
Elemm

EDIT: Ps. I've just heard from Ms. B and I need to put up a warning for this episode: There is hardly any knitting content in this episode. It turned out to be more about life in Germany in general. So, don't tell me that I haven't warned you! ;-)

Episode #02: Coffee, Cakes & Kolenyas (Show notes)

Our second episode is here!!! *Applauds*

We always take delight in digressing on whatever topic we're talking about....but that's our charm, eh? :-p Great fun was had with help of alcohol, potato chips and sweets! This time, we were recording from Elemm's palace house apartment rat-hole! (Sound effects - if you can hear any - courtesy of my lovely neighbours)

So, let's get the show started!

Thank you for mentioning us!

Special thanks to Tini of Tini's World of Fibre Arts for sending us all our very first Knitters Uncensored Podcast care package!

A skein of sock yarn, 2 balls of Tini's own hand-dyed sock yarns (this got Cashyie into knitting her first socks with DPNs!), yumminess of Chocolatey death....not to mention the to-die-for Russian Chocolate scented coffee! (All food items are all gone now!) Thank you so much! Vielen tausend Dank von uns allen!

Music:
  • Knitters Uncensored Theme song written, produced and performed by Ms. B and her DH (please tell her that her singing is wonderful!)
