Knitters Uncensored in Tracht!

Okay, basically Tracht means 'traditional German costume', thus it applies to both Dirndl and Lederhosen.

And now I shall present the Knitters Uncensored in their own Tracht!

Elemm in Lederhosen (at the Kocherlball in 2006):

And Cashyie's Dirndl:

EDIT: After many requests, here's another photo of Cashyie in her Dirndl:

and Ms. B with her whole family:

Tell us what you think! (I'll be going to the Kocherlball this year with Cashyie! Anybody else wanna join? 6 a.m. on Sunday 15th July 2007 at the Chinese Tower in the Munich English Garden!)

Yours,
Elemm

Ooh, can we also have a full-body shot of Cayshie in the dirndl? The cleavage is lovely, but after her description of the dirndl on the last episode, I also want to see the whole thing in its pink-and-black gloriousness.

You're all hot! Why must you reveal the beauty of Trachten-mode when I'm almost out of money and about to move back to a non-Trach home?

p.s: ditto what anonymous said...

Very nice!

I agree that just clevage is hardly fair to Cayshie or the dirndl!

Now if only I could find an excuse to wear such a thing....

Hi, will do my best to get a full dirndl shot - though im taking the photo on my imac/lighting in my apartment is lame/elem. takes forever to do full body photoshoping (i look nothing like either of my pictures-i am a research scientist who spends 10 hrs a day in a lab, and two more on the train knitting.....but ive never had photos turn out well before and so felt the need to post them....)

As for the the "not built for a dirndl" comment - i am a b cup - german clothing engi-nerds are brilliant.

With regards to the "non-Trach home" and "no excuse to wear a dirndl"- one word - Halloween!!! - this little holiday is how i plan on justifying buying more than one dirndl...

Ihr seht alle toll aus! :)
You all look so great. Besides, neither me nor my boyfriend have a Tracht. I don't want to wear it and my boy also, so we got to Oktoberfest in Jeans ;)
But I agree to anonymous request!

Haha! That dirndl is freaking awesome and probably made by a man.

Love the pic of Elem in the tracht. It's great.

What great pictures. I wish I could be there. Elemm, I'd be sort of surprised if you made it down the street looking like that. It's a great look. Of course you ladies look great, too. We don't have all that here. Traditional Dutch dress is boots and an attitude. (Don't quote me on that. I have to live here.)

Cashiye, If that pic doesnt get you a man to boss around and knit for, then NOTHING will!! WOWza!!

Awww, bummer - I'll be a few weeks late. But I'm so very, very, very excited about seeing everyone!
